Character Background Tzatziki Bob

Current Status: Assistant and chief procurer for Gil; part‑time food vendor in Vale Haven
Appearance
Short brown hair with a neatly kept white goatee. Stands around 3 to 3½ feet tall. Wears a fine tunic and breeches — practical, but nicer than you’d expect for a man who spends half his time running errands and the other half grilling kobold meat. Always smells faintly of spices and charcoal.
Personality
Resourceful, pragmatic, and endlessly opportunistic. Prefers to stay back during dangerous investigations — “support role,” as he calls it. Friendly, talkative, and surprisingly well‑connected. Runs a popular food stall on the side, specializing in grilled flatbread with roasted kobold and a delicious white sauce. Has a knack for being exactly where he needs to be… and nowhere near danger.

Backstory Summary
Bob arrived in Vale Haven shortly after Gil and immediately made himself indispensable. He began running errands for the mage, acquiring rare components and supplies with uncanny efficiency. Over time, he became Gil’s unofficial assistant and chief procurer — while also running his own food stall and several side businesses. His gnomish connections allow him to obtain items the mages would struggle to acquire through official channels.
Where He Is at the Start of the Story
Accompanying Gil at the ruins of Blue Pine — though staying safely behind the front line, keeping the camp in order, and preparing food while Gil investigates.
What He Wants
To survive the end of the world
To become rich selling gyros
To keep Gil supplied and stay on his good side
To avoid anything involving swords, claws, or undead teeth
What He Fears
Direct combat
Being dragged into heroics
Losing his business opportunities
Anything larger than him that moves faster than him
Why He Matters to the Plot
Bob is the logistical backbone of Gil’s work. He acquires items, components, and information that the mages cannot easily obtain. His gnomish connections and street‑level knowledge make him invaluable to the party. Without Bob, Gil’s investigation — including the discovery of Celist — would have been far more difficult.
