If using spacecraft to alter asteroid trajectory, such as DART (double asteroid redirection) that launched Nov 23, 2021, why not take it a step further. Divert asteroids travel into a safe orbit net where it can be harvested for minerals or research? Maybe I'm watching too much of THE EXPANCANCE webseries, of which the the book it's based from is a vast collection.
