I believe all plant foods are at the center of all chronic diseases we face in western society. I migrated from the Ketogenic Diet to the Carnivore Diet, not because I wasn't getting the results I wanted, but because I started to think about the anti-nutrients and toxins in plants. Blood sugar is toxic in the blood stream so isn't the Ketogenic Diet quibbling over how much toxin should be in your diet?
Dr. Anthony Chaffee made this 90 minute YouTube video explaining all the bad things in plant foods as well as experiences he has had in Australia treating aboriginals that suddenly ate a modern, western diet and got chronically ill. He believes in evolution but I believe it fits in with biblical history.
I have been yo-yoing on the Carnivore Diet for the past few years but ever since February of this year, I have remained on it. My weight loss is not that impressive but my reduction in blood pressure has been outstanding. I used to be in the 160/80 range but I am now typically down to the 120/75 range. Previously, even though I had been yo-yoing, there were several months in previous years when I stuck to the diet and had noticed that it reversed my pre-diabetes.
I am going to start going to a gym next month. I had for years, because I was lied to so much about diet, I started to doubt the health benefits of exercise. I don't think that exercise can help you lose weight, but I do think it helps with heart health & mental health.
@Andrew Schnick Hello Andrew, I truly enjoyed reading this post. I've been deep diving into the ketogenic and carnivore diets for the past couple years as well. I have chronic health conditions that are greatly affected by the foods I choose. I'm going to listen to this video you put up and thanks for sharing this. I think carbs, sugar and seed oils (along with our federal gov'ts terrible food pyramid) are at the root cause of most diseases in America today. There's plenty of data to back this up.
