USS Anzio
This is Captain Satemi's ship, The USS Anzio. I name her after the US Navy escort carrier from WW2. This class came to the game fairly recently, and the eagle eyed will recognize her as the same class of ship from the Playstation 1 video game, Star Trek Invasion. She also comes with two squadrons of Valkyrie fighters.

Typhon Class Escort Carrier
Service History:
USS Anzio is one of the newer ships in Starfleet and is named in honor of the escort carrier USS Anzio from Earth's 20th century. She is commanded by Captain Satemi of Vulcan. Starfleet only recently began fielding ships of this type. Many in the admiralty as well as the Federation council viewed carrier class ships as another step towards the militarization of Starfleet and were initially against their construction, but the Klingon raid on the Utopia Planitia shipyards quickly brought them to their senses. The new KDF Vo'quv class carriers further necessitated a Federation equivalent.
Starfleet previously relied upon Caitan Atrox class carriers to fill that gap in capability, but those ships were in short supply and the Caitan defense forces would only allow limited use preferring to keep them close to home to help defend their home system. Starfleet engineers began design and construction of the first Jupiter class carriers in 2410. These ships were a success and proved their worth against the Voth in the Solanae Dyson Sphere. However, the Jupiter class had one major drawback. They were as big as an Odyssey class starship and even less maneuverable. They performed extremely well in fleet actions where they could stay outside the range of enemy weapons and allow their Peregrine fighter squadrons to do the heavy lifting, but they had trouble fending off enemy vessels that managed to get within weapons range.
Starfleet Command decided that a smaller, more maneuverable, and better armed escort style carrier was necessary. They wouldn't be able to provide the same level of fighter coverage and support as their larger cousins, but their increase in firepower and maneuverability meant that they could provide direct fire support to their fighter squadrons against enemy ships more effectively than the Jupiters.
Captain Satemi, who commanded the Jupiter class USS Midway during the Iconian War jumped at the chance to command one of the new Typhon Class vessels. She took command of the USS Anzio just in time for the conflict against the Tzenkethi and the subsequent Hurq invasion. Anzio has yet to really make a name for herself, but she has proved her worth against foes such as the Tzenkethi, the Hurq, the Terran Empire, and the Borg, and has distinguished herself in several fleet actions. As the Federation weighs an alliance with the Borg Collective, Anzio as well as the other Typhon class ships in the fleet are sure to have an important role in future conflicts.
