Liberated Borg Romulan
This is probably the darkest character I've written for my Star Trek lineup, but I think the story works. I included a photo of her ship her because I haven't written anything for it yet.

Name: Senatha Titrala
DOB: Unknown
POB: Rator III
Current Command:
RRW Kerchan, Ar’kif Tactical Carrier Warbird
Background:
Senatha Titrala was just an unassuming employee at an ale distilling operation owned by the Letant family on Rator III. She had the unfortunate circumstances of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when she witnessed the murder of the Letants at the hands of the Tal Shiar. She was swiftly captured and taken by the them to a facility where she was subjected to unspeakable horrors and protracted experiments with Borg technology.
In one of these experiments, she was assimilated by rogue nanoprobes that randomly re-activated themselves, and the Tal Shiar scientists, thinking they could use Senatha as a weapon, subjected her to further experimentation, adding Borg implants in addition to the ones created by her nanoprobes. At the conclusion of these experiments, she was placed into stasis and put into storage. She was later discovered by Romulan Republic commandos and finally rescued from her long nightmare, but her recovery would not be an easy one.
She was taken to a Federation medical facility to undergo medical procedures to reverse the assimilation process, and after many months of rehabilitation, she was released to the Romulan Republic. She was settled on the agricultural planet of Virinat where she tried to start a new life, but this was halted by Tal Shiar and Elachi attacks. Realizing that she could not run from this enemy, she joined the Romulan Republic Navy and, after the Khitomer conference, aligned herself with the Klingon Defense Force.
Psychological Profile:
Senatha is a unique case of Borg assimilation as she was not directly assimilated by the Borg. Her assimilation came at the hands of amateurs in the Tal Shiar playing with technology they did not fully understand. Her unique assimilation also carries with it unique challenges. When Senatha was assimilated, she was turned into a mindless drone, but one that was never connected to the Collective. She was essentially a techno-organic zombie waiting for commands from the Collective that would never come.
We aren't sure exactly how long she was kept in this state, but it is estimated to be several years before she was liberated. She doesn't have the experience of the many voices reported by other survivors of Borg assimilation. Hers is one of total silence, being locked away for years inside of her own mind. This has made rehabilitation very difficult and is made worse by the fact that most of her memories were lost in the assimilation process. The best we can gather is her name and where she was born. Everything else we had to piece together from outside sources, and requests for information from the Romulan Star Empire have gone unanswered.
While her body has been restored, except for a few implants and the pale complexion, her mind is a totally different story. Most of her remaining memories prior to her rescue are all from the torture she endured at the hands of the Tal Shiar. This initially generated within her an intense fear of the Tal Shiar, running as far away as she could, but after being caught up in the attack on Virinat, this fear has given way to an intense anger and hatred towards her former captors.
This hatred has also led her to align with the Klingon Defense Force stating, "I have no interest in engaging in diplomacy with the Tal Shiar or anyone that associates with them. They deserve death, and I am more than happy to deliver it to them." Senatha has chosen to focus on her career in the Republic Navy and doesn't leave room for much else aside from her desire for revenge against the people who stole her life and tortured her.
Her superiors in the Romulan Republic Navy understand her trauma and will often look the other way so long as her personal vendetta with the Tal Shiar does not get in the way of achieving mission objectives or cause undue collateral damage. Senatha has achieved a sort of bogeyman status among the Tal Shiar with her ghostly image being the last thing many of those agents have seen before meeting their demise.
