Good on ya, groovy viewers! I'm sending out this notification that I am going to cancel the tiers I presently have and reinstall them. Why? Because Apple has imposed this change that doesn't make much sense, and Patreon isn't able to make sense of how to adjust to it. At least not to me. If ya read the change notification you would see wording like, " In order to let you keep earning in the iOS app, we are going to automatically switch you over to subscription billing beginning in November 2024. However, if you’d like more time, you can delay your migration in your settings to keep your current billing model until November 2025. To be clear: even if you delay your migration, Apple’s requirements still apply. If you have not switched to subscription billing by this November, your fans will not be able to purchase new memberships in the iOS app."  This notification went out before November 2024, so it's not clear which November is being referred to. And I've done the so called switch but nothing has shown if the "switch has actually happened, and the reps at patreon aren't making any of it clearer to me, and I recon it's because they're having to make sense of something senseless that Apple imposed. Even those who do understand how to make the adjustment don't like it. If you've read this far, THANK YOU! Here's what I'm proposing. As mentioned earlier, I am going to cancel the tiers you're on. This is going to cut your access. From there PLEASE re-subscribe to the new tiers. BUT PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR iOS! SUBSCRIBE FROM A DESK TOP NOT YOUR iPHONE. DON'T USE APPLE STORE APP. It will impose a 30% fee on you. Since the Tiers have to be subscription based now, or are supposed to become subscription based by November 2025, I'm restructuring the support tiers for Subscription model now. The tiers will be broader in selection. From $1.00 a month upwards. Some viewers paid $1.00 per video. Which means if I made 50 videos a month that supporter would pay $50 per month. A buck a vid. So there will be a tier for those who will pay a $1.00 per month subscription, and a tier for $50.00 a month, because some supporters paid a dollar a vid, which could be up to fifty videos during a month. Some supporters set their max at $25.00 per month. So there will be a subscription tier for $25.00 per month. Some supporters have paid $20.00 per vid no matter how many vids I do. So If I do fifty videos ,that's $1000.00. So I'll have a subscription tier for even $1000.00 per month. I will work to maintain producing the same amount of hours of content, and hopefully this will be an easier way to do it and free me up to make more, and various types of content. Admittedly, I prefer Supporters use Cornerstone payment systems since it is a Christian owned and operated platform, and I'd like to support them, but I also understand that having a presence on Patreon is an opportunity to put Content made by Christ followers on the scene.
